The Internet Royalty Registry

How to Register Your Internet Title

Three steps. Less than five minutes. Bragging rights: forever.

Step 1: Search for Your Title

Head to our title search and type the title you want. Our search checks your exact title against every registered title in the global registry in real time.

Available? Excellent. That title is yours for the taking.

Already taken? Back to the drawing board — but that's half the fun. Try adding your name, a specific year, or a delightfully absurd modifier. The registry is large, but creativity is unlimited.

Pro tip: Browse our category pages for inspiration.

Step 2: Claim It as Yours

Once you've found an available title, add it to your cart. You'll enter:

Everything is reviewed in your cart before you pay. No surprises.

Step 3: Download Your Certificate

The moment your payment is confirmed:

You can also share a link to your certificate. Your title appears in the public registry immediately.

What Happens After Registration?

Your title is registered in the Internet Royalty Registry. It cannot be claimed by anyone else for the duration of your registration. If you registered for a number of years, you'll receive a renewal reminder before expiry. If you chose lifetime, congratulations — your title is eternal.

Can I Gift a Title to Someone Else?

Yes, and it's one of our most popular use cases. Simply enter the recipient's name when registering. After purchase, download the certificate and send it — digitally or print it out.

For the full gift experience, check out our Gift Ideas page.

Want to Stay Anonymous? Send a Title Without an Account

Anonymous titles are a separate purchase path designed for one thing: sending a gift without leaving any trace.

Here's how it works:

  1. Search for an available title as normal
  2. Choose Anonymous Title at checkout — no account required
  3. Customize the certificate (recipient's name, the title itself)
  4. Enter the recipient's email address — we deliver it directly on your behalf
  5. Done. The certificate link is public and permanent. No owner is recorded in our system.

Important differences from a standard registered title:

Anonymous titles are a sealed gift. Once sent, the recipient has the certificate and its permanent public link — and that's it. If you think you might want to renew the title or make changes later, choose a standard registered title instead and gift it by entering the recipient's name on the certificate.

Can I Transfer or Sell My Title?

Standard registered title transfers are supported. You can initiate a transfer from your profile page. See Pricing for transfer fees. Anonymous titles cannot be transferred — they have no registered owner to transfer from.
